Due to his father leaving him and his siblings at a young age, and how the community shunned them for their father's involvement with Humarise, Rody is a caring big brother who always places his siblings as his first priority. His siblings are so important to him that he will do anything to ensure their safety and well-being; even if it means considering an enemy's demands. Though Rody does have a sense of chivalry and trust towards the people he gets along with.

While Rody does not hate heroes, he does not consider them in high regards as there are not many heroes in the Shanty Town of Otheon as hero agencies cannot gain a great deal of profit from working in the slums. With the lack of heroes, the increase of crime and his past, Rody has developed a "life is unfair" point of view where he expects that people will treat others unfairly and resort to foul play to get what they want. Because of this, he’s become willing to resort to theft and unlawful deeds if it means getting by and supporting his siblings.

Ultimately, Izuku Midoriya shows Rody that genuinely altruistic and caring people can exist in the world- even as pro heroes.Rody eventually decides to pursue a military education in order to fulfill his dream of being a pilot, as well as studying to become a paramedic who will be able to aid others in the field.

Known for his quick wit and rapier-like tongue. His demeanor is normally introspective and mindful of his surroundings- He's often studying the people and situations around him before engaging. He can be charming when he wants to be, but otherwise can be evasive and business-oriented. Life is a bit of a strategy game to Rody- he's ever mindful of opportunities and adjusts his personality according to what will best suit his needs and goals, at the time.For those that manage to get beyond his calculating defenses, he can be an incredibly sensitive man about his views and beliefs, though his lifestyle often doesn't pave new avenues for him to do something that would fundamentally change the world. He uses his survivalist mindset almost like a crutch or a defense mechanism, only caring about one's self is easier to handle than caring about the well-being of others or their feelings. If someone manages to gain his trust and respect, he's an intensely loyal comrade and would go above and beyond expected limitations to help his allies.He’s aware that he’s conventionally attractive and has used this to help manipulate favorable outcomes before, but is decidedly demiromantic.
